Each puzzle gives you a handful of digits. Combine all of them with + − ×, gluing digits together where you like (8 and 4 make 84), into an equation whose two sides are equal. Every puzzle has a small set of solutions, from a few on Monday to about fifteen at the weekend, and your goal is to find them all.
Each day has an operator budget, and later in the week at least one operator must be a ×. Rearranging an equation doesn’t make a new solution; using the digits differently does.
